Multitap tab and backspace

Sorry if this is a simple question, but I'm spent a fair bit of time trying to figure out how to do the following with Mutitap, but with no success.

I want to use a single button where:
Press once = tab
Press twice = backspace

Any idea how I can do this?

I tried your suggestion as per the attachment.

I want the "back" button to tab on one press, and the same "back" button to "backspace" on two presses.

Now when I press the "back" button once (or twice), I get a tab and then immediately a backspace.

Any idea where I'm going wrong

So now I actually know how Multi tap works! And it's working fine now.
