Zoomplayer plugin returning events.

Post by ChimpChimp »

Hi,

Im having trouble recieveing events from the zoomplayer plugin, nothing seems to be sent from the plugin to the log. Ive had a look at the code and compared it to other plugins that do work, and nothing seems missing, ive also tried putting my own events into the code to be raised when the plugin loads etc and they also do not appear in the log. Other plugins seem to be returning events perfectly, i even tried the code in the wiki, which works too. Am i missing something? Im running 0.3.7.r851 on XP SP3 with all patches (Although ive tried 0.3.5 and 0.3.6 too). Sorry if this is the wrong forum, i cant post in the plugin forum. Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers.

I guess you have made sure the TCP interface is enabled in ZP.
Can you control ZoomPlayer with the ZP plugin?
You can also try connecting with telnet to the ZP port.

Thanks for that, i had the tcp interface working ok. I solved the problem by only enabling the plugin when zoomplayer was loaded. Weird thing is i dont recieve any feedback from zoomplayer until i send it a command first, but i get around this by sending an unpause command straight away. At the moment im grabbing the timeline event so i can show it on my matrix orbital, its working nicely. Thanks.

Yep. The TCP connection to Zoom Player gets (re)connected when the plugin tries to send a command to ZP and the connection does not exist.

Basically if you want the TCP connection to be always up you could monitor when a Zoom Player process is launched then issue any command using the ZP plugin to connect it.
