lost volume control and HID state change reboot message

Post by edgedemon »

Hi there
Im trying to use EventGhost to control MediaPortal and KMPlayer, installing it after seeing some posts saying that it worked really well.
Im running 0.3.6.1487 and XP SP3 fully patched.
Following the instructions from the site link below
http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/tips- ... post357677

Download one of the xml files attached to this post.

mpv3.xml includes instructions for kmplayer, Media Player Classic, Media Player Classic - Home Theatre.

mp_mpc_v2.xml only includes instructions for media player classic. Use this xml file if you only want to use MPC/MPC-HT.

mp_kmplayer_v1.xml only includes instructions for kmplayer. Use this xml file if you only want to use kmplayer.

a Zoomplayer xml has been left out because it is enabled by default in eventghost!!

copy whichever xml file you use into > C:\Program Files (x86)\EventGhost

The xml file contains all the plugin and remote mapping info, it tells eventghost what to load.

Now, launch eventghost and go to File > open and select your_desired_file.xml. This will load all the correct plugins and key bindings for eventghost to use.

The moment I follow the last bit I get a message

the plugin has changed the state of the HID for this remote - please restart your system

I restart my system, but the message does not go away no matter how many times I reboot
in addition, for a couple of movies (in kmplayer) the controls worked fine, but I lost volume control in media portal. Now I have no volume control via remote using event ghost or mediaportal and the HID error message will not go away

The weird thing is that even after uninstalling event ghost I still cant control volume from within MP

Im completely new to eventghost, can someone help me troubleshoot

I have attached the xml file....
