Divide MYCONFIG.XML into multiple/separate loadable parts
Divide MYCONFIG.XML into multiple/separate loadable parts
It would be nice to have EG be able to load multiple, separate XMLs so that people could more easily share/test code, and try things without messing with known-good XMLs.
setup... XBMC, W7MC for DVR & Live OTA TV, JRMC for multi-zone audio, EG, MiCasaVerde Vera3, USB-UIRT IR receiver, Harmony remote, 5.2 home theater system

What wrong with using the copy and paste feature? Works pretty well IMO

"wrong"? Nothing at all. But not efficient for testing and/or controlling things separately.Bartman wrote:What wrong with using the copy and paste feature? Works pretty well IMO
I can walk to work 12 miles each day - and it "works pretty well" but I prefer to be a bit more time efficient and drive my car.

Re: Divide MYCONFIG.XML into multiple/separate loadable parts
Here's another vote for separate XML config files that can be "included" into the main config. I have been autogenerating XML for my X10 lights automation section and its a pain to copy/paste every time I make a change.
