Getting song info from iTunes and displaying it?

Post by qrsy2k »

Have few questions hope you guys can help me with. Just pick up this great program days ago and have little knowledge on coding.
I understand that this is possible for the winamp as it has the plugin. Is there anyway that this will work too for the iTunes?

Next is that i created a sleep timer for my com while playing songs from iTunes. Thing is, i wanted to use the OSD to display the remaining time.
I tried searching but still don't really get it. Thanks in advance...

About your first question: EG has a plugin specifically for WinAmp. As far as i know, there's no iTunes plugin yet for EventGhost.

As to your second question: I don't think the OSD will display the time left on a timer. You could probably do it with a Python script action, but you'd have to script it yourself or get someone familiar with scripting in EG to write something up for you.

For Itunes, there is the Remote App free in the store which works pretty well. I know it is not what you want to hear, but it works much better than a eventghost plugin IMHO.
