Hi guys, I've been poking around on here finding solutions to my problems and I have to say I've found the forums quite useful, but until now I've never had the need to register and actually ask a question. I can't find a solution to my problem through the search feature... anyways enough with the intro, onto the question:
I am using EventGhost and the IR reciever from this set and a Harmony 720 remote to control my HTPC (running XBMC right now through Vista32bit).
The problem I'm having is that the IR reciever likes to disconnect and reconnect itself randomly. This of course is really annoying since I have to exit XBMC and restart EG for it to work again.
I've tried finding different drivers and I've used all of my USB ports and I reinstalled Vista even but it still happens.
Anyone have any suggestions for what to try next? I love the remote and i love EG and XBMC is setup just how I want it now but the stupid IR dongle is just making me mad...
