Will pay someone to config EG with my player

The Beyond Media I guess which is the software that comes bundled with the FF drivers, I am being told that you need the software for the FF remote to work, first of all, does the snaptream software load in your system tray on startup like mine?

If you don't use Beyond Media, uninstall it and install only the Basic Drivers.

I use the Basic Drivers. Nothing is loaded in system tray.

Thanks, I think that did it, will know for sure on the weekend when I will be able to test on my main rig at loud volume, get back to you then.

Ran into a problem here, the functions stopped working all of a sudden, whenever I press the buttons on the remote now, nothing happens, I see the the green EG arrow in the system tray turning Red whenever I press a button on the remote, help?

Actu ally when I checked, the OTSAV file was missing in the config so pasted it again but now the EG geen arrow turns yellow, please see screenshot

ok, got the system working again by reinstalling EG but only the volume up and down to figure out now. In the Config tree, in the Volume section, if I dbl-click the Grey speaker icons nothing happens so I don't know how to select the laptop's soundcard?
