I have EG set up to generate the various keyboard shortcuts (e.g., Ctrl-p for pause) for VMC. This seems to work for everything but the new Netflix app. Once it starts playing a watch instantly video, the Netflix app does not appear to react to any keyboard commands except for backspace, which backs out of playing the video. The mouse can be used to bring up the VMC controls in the lower right-hand corner, which seems to work.
Word has it that the Netflix app responds to a genuine MCE remote. My understanding is that those remotes are HID devices, which generate various keycodes. Is there some way to more accurately simulate an MCE remote to get the Netflix app to work?

control new Netflix app for VMC?
Re: control new Netflix app for VMC?
My understanding is that the MCE remote stores the commands as various sets of registry values. If you can find those values, maybe we could find a way to control netflix from EG. The controls might be windows messages instead of keypresses?
