Strange keyboard characters

Post by xxxzanka »

I use a remote that emulates some keyboard chars to control vista mce.
I know the keyboard plugin problem (solved used "clear pending event" after every "emulate keystroke") and so everything is ok.
Sometimes  , when using mce for long time (watching a movie), EG starts putting some strange key before my key strokes. For example I press S key and EG recognize "keyboard.S+U00" adding U00 to all my key strokes. Sometime it put a "normal" char (es "F") so it recognize "keyboard.S+F".
I have to close EG and restart.
Any suggestion?
Thank you

Are you guys on Windows 7? After upgrading to Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, started noticing the same problems. It's affecting other programs, too: none of the keyboard shortcuts work in PowerDVD, for example (I need it in order to play Blu-Ray discs.)

I've been having the same problem under, originally under vista and now 7. It's a different character each time and sometimes even two characters. Hitting the character that is getting added usually clears it, but quite often it is a u00 that is getting added. when that happens it takes exiting and restarting eventghost to clear it.

did anyone ever find a resolution to this?
