Vista MCE and XBMC, how do I control both?

Post by dabone »

I've got XBMC setup with eventghost on Vista Ultimate X64.
I want to be able to control Vista MCE and XBMC with just the remote only.
Is there an easy way to do this?
(I.e. I want it to work alot like lirc on linux, i.e. when program a has focus, these buttons do this and no other commands are sent to other programs)
And is there a pluging for Vista MCE?

Thanks,
Later,

I would also like to do this. I'm almost there. I've got a set up which controls XBMC and what I need to do now is to create an event that makes the remote default to it's normal settings when I hit a certain button (as if eventghost wasn't running). Is there a way to do that?

In answer to part of your question, there is an XBMC plugin built into the latest beta which I am using and is quite useable.
