Universal remote replacement for MCE remote debounce issue

Post by virtuallyunlimited »

Hey everyone, running into a little issue with EventGhost and "debounce". I am running XPPro SP3 EventGhost 0.3.6.1476 and a pinnacle MCE remote that reads R6 on the back. The issue is that I have mapped all the buttons I need onto a universal remote but EventGhost only sees the inital keypress of any button. The second keypress of the same button does not even register in the log. The MCE remote works fine and shows all key presses. In searching it appears to be an EnableDebounce issue, but I have changed the registry settings for every EnableDebounce listing. I have tried them all as 0 and I have tried them all as 1. I rebooted each time between tries and it still has the same response. I am using "hacked" drivers for the MCE remote that I found doing a search for Pinnacle MCE remote XP. I also removed the following reg entries

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\HidIr\Remotes\745a17a0-74d3-11d0-b6fe-00a0c90f57da

Then delete the keys from "CodeSetNum0" to "CodeSetNum3".

I tried to run the MCE powertoy to tweak the setting as well, but since I am running straight XP Pro it would not install..

Any thoughts?

Thanks everyone!
