Startup programs/ can you generate an system.unidle event?

Post by prostetnic »

I'm trying to write a set of macro to replace the windows startup function. The reasons are many but mainly that it takes a long time to start my computer and I want to be able to use it at once so I want to delay the startup programs from running until the computer is Idle. So I thought, this is a job for eventghost, and started thinking. I started out by using the EG system.idle event to initiate starup of the first program. Then I ran into problems because once the first program is started I want the EG to wait until I system is idle again (if I use the it) until running the next program. So I tried using the idle event again for the next program but that only works if I use the computer otherwise the computer unidle -> idle. So I tried to use set idle time to generate a unidle event but that makes the Idle function to stop working after a few idle events. Seems to be a bug.

Any Ideas on how I could solve my problem?
