Hi all, well I just built an htpc and am using it with eventghost to control XBMC
I am using my harmony One remote acting as an MCE remote and an MCE receiver connected via USB. I have my computer to wake up on USB, and it wakes up when I move my mouse, touch a button on my keyboard or press the PC power button on the original MCE remote.
The problem is, when I map that power button to my harmony one, (or if I am just using the original remote) when I press it, it also turns on my xbox 360.
As you can imagine this is quite annoying. I tried mapping another button (and pressing other buttons on the original MCE remote) to have it wake up the computer, but the only way I can have the IR receiver receive a command to wake up the computer is when I press the PC power button. As i said earlier, this also turns on my 360, which is annoying.
Is there anything I can do to be able to wake up my PC without having to whip out my mouse or keyboard to wake it up?
Thanks

Yeah: on the 360, in the system settings, there's a section for Remotes. (I wish I could tell you exactly how to get there; I'm not near my Xbox right now.) It has two settings: one for the specific Xbox 360 remote and one for the Xbox remote AND standard Media Center remotes. I suspect if you switch that to just the Xbox remote, then when you try to turn on the PC with the Media Center remote you have set up in the Harmony One, the Xbox won't say boo, but when you switch to the Xbox remote in the One, it should fire things up fine. Betcha any money that's your problem.feerlessleadr wrote:Is there anything I can do to be able to wake up my PC without having to whip out my mouse or keyboard to wake it up?
