www.eventghost.org has a new server.

Post by Bitmonster »

Today I switched the eventghost.org domain to a new server. You will surely have noticed some layout changes.

1. Documentation
The documentation section includes files, that are automatically created by Sphinx from sources in the SVN trunk. They will automatically be updated with every new EventGhost release.

2. Wiki
The wiki is now using MoinMoin as its engine. Every user that is registered on the forum, can directly login into the wiki with the same username/password. The markup language of the wiki is set to reStructeredText. This is the same markup language, that is used by Sphinx and is also available for plugin developers for the description of their plugins.
The old wiki is accessible though http://www.eventghost.org/wiki_old/ for transferring the old pages to the new wiki.

3. Downloads
This page should make it more clear, which version is the latest. It will also automatically be updated on every new release.

What will come in the future:
4. SVN
I will switch the SVN repository also to the new server. After this, nothing important remains at SourceForge. Every registered developer will get a new password from me as PM.
Please post software-related questions in the forum - PMs will only be answered, if really private, thanks!

Indeed a great improvement.

Where is lost the greater part of my article on the Multitap, including images? I gave a lot of work. I have no backup.

Don't worry, it will come back, as soon as I have transferred all files from the old server. In the meantime you can access the old server through http://www2.eventghost.org/wiki/
