Hello everyone I just recently got the idea to build my first htpc and am having some trouble with getting my irman reciever to work with my harmony 880 and media portal. I guess I am looking for suggestions on what remote to emulate and how to get event ghost to work with media portal, I have tried a few different types like the MCE remote but event ghost said it didn't find the reciever I guess because the irman is a serial reciever rather than a usb. I also tried the x-10 remote to emulate and it didn't find that, maybe someone could give me an idea of what to try and how to make it all work together.

Place MessagePlugin.dll in the MediaPortal\Plugins\Process\ folder.
Place MessagePlugin.xml in the MediaPortal\InputDeviceMappings\Defaults\ folder.
Import MessagePlugin.hip into HIP.
Configure MediaPortal.
- Disable any remote plugins.
- Enable and configure MessagePlugin.
Ok I have done all of this except for the hip thing I couldn't find it in mediaportal does any body know how to get it to work I'm only 13 and my mom dosn't know anything about computers so some help would be nice.
