Event Ghost and XBMC How to get scroll feature

Post by harlest »

eventghost 0.3.7.r1194/XBMC Camelot Alpha2 for windows/windows xp sp3

I am new to eventghost but sofar pretty cool stuff

What I am trying to do is get the up down commands in the xbmc script in eventghost to scroll so i can browse
through my movies quickly. Everything else works great but when i drag a code from the log over to the command
in the xbmc script up or down you have to keep pressing the button to move up or down

Is there a way in eventghost to make the ir code repeat after a press and hold
Any help would be GREATLY APRECIATED

Thanks sorry for being uneducated in eventghost

I think it might help if you add an 'Autorepeat macro' action to the configurations for up and down.

So in the right-hand pane of EventGhost, the 'Configuration' area, go to the section where you've defined the actions for 'up', for example. Right click on it, add Action->EventGhost->Autorepeat current macro. You can play around with the autorepeat values, I've used 0.60,0.30,3.00,0.01 for the four values in the past.

Hopefully that's what you were looking for!

I gave that a shot but still i can not get it to scroll

I did notice in the EG log every time i press the button it gives me the code that i leaned in
with the uirt and if i hold the button down to get it to repeat the code it displays this
USB_UIRT.Unkown.10
USB_UIRT.Unkown.40
Over and over again
does this mean the code is changing and maybe thats why the repeat macro is not working?

Again Thanks for any help!!!

Sorry harlest... I'm afraid I don't have any other ideas. I'm not an expert on EventGost by any means though, perhaps someone else will have some useful advice for you. Good luck!

There's an option in the USB-UIRT configuration - "Pass short codes as enduring events". I think having that checked and using autorepeat should work.

Thanks for the reply

I'll give that a try when I get home and post back

Is that in the uirt config in the EG or is that the uirt it self?
I'll try both

That's in the UIRT config dialog that you bring up from EG.
