MCE Remote under Windows 7 - No Repeating - Help!

Post by josen »

Hello,

just came over from the beisammen Forum and have been setting up a EventGhost HTPC here. When I switched from Windows XP SP3 32Bit to Windows 7 Pro 64Bit I ran into a big problem:

- EventGhost is throwing Exceptions, when I try to modify the delay time of the MCE driver
- Repeated Key-Presses dont get recognized

I turned exclusive mode on for the Plugin and tried 0,15 as delay. As I'm new to this community/software I tried to make some sense of the needed settings, but couldn't. I start EventGhost via the builtin "Start with Windows" option.

What do I need to do to get repeated Key-Presses working? Any link/hint appreciated (btw: EG rocks, please come back BitMonster) :-)

Greets,
Falk

Hello,

why does no one answer? Is my question too specific or already answered somewhere? If so, where?

Thanks in advance,

I think the silence is because not everybody have a combination of MCE remote and Win7, atleast not the regular users who usually are able/willing to help.

Until somebody who can help comes along you'll have to wait or try fixing it yourself. (I don't even have an MCE remote, so.. sorry!)

PS. You should post the exception messages EG throws when you modify the delay time, it's hard to guess what's wrong without them.
