Hi, I have a Philips universal learning remote: http://www.amazon.com/Philips-Magnavox- ... 555&sr=1-3
I also have an HP IR receiver: http://www.amazon.com/Infrared-Receiver ... B000Z7XJME
My goal is to use the cheap universal remote to control Windows Media Center.
I run Windows 7 and EventGhost is not recognizing the receiver or any button presses. What plugin should I be using?

HP IR Receiver and cheap universal remote
Re: HP IR Receiver and cheap universal remote
Your best bet is probably the HID plugin. If that doesn't work, you might want to try the 0.4 beta version of EG and see if it recognizes the receiver.

Hmm, no luck. I'm kind of surprised because I've seen this HP IR receiver + EventGhost recommended on several forums.
