I've seen some talented coders here, just wondering if anyone is planning to pick up the reigns or try to get a few devs onboard?

One suggestion I'd make that may help the community...

XBMC uses Python for scripting. There are several excellent coders there and EG is leveraged by the XBMC community. If someone could convince a few coders there to help out EG could take off like wildfire. Possibly even have a seamless integration with XBMC.
setup... XBMC, W7MC for DVR & Live OTA TV, JRMC for multi-zone audio, EG, MiCasaVerde Vera3, USB-UIRT IR receiver, Harmony remote, 5.2 home theater system
