MCE IR Rcvr as HID - possible to view all incoming IR?

Hi all,

Question - using an MCE IR Receiver, when used as HID, is it possible to receive all remote keypresses from any remote, or are you still limited to the MCE set, or is there another way to detect all other button presses from a universal remote?

Background:
I'm using a DirecTV RC64 universal remote (what comes w/ the HR-20), with it set to emulate an MCE remote. I have an MCE IR receiver, and EG can pick up the remote button presses when that remote is in MCE mode. I'd like to program all the additional buttons (eg red, blue, yellow, green, guide, active, list, info, etc.) but using the MCE plugin, EG don't see those other buttons. I've tried setting the remote to another DVR (code 00001, 00002, etc.), but again EG doesn't see it, even though the IR receiver blinks. I've also tried disabling the MCE plugin, and just use HID, again to no avail.

Perhaps this isn't possible in the first place? Pls advise. I know when I plug in my USB-UIRT, I can see all buttons when set to a DVR code, but I'll need to setup a number of computers, and have a number of MCE IR receivers lying around, and rather not shell out the cash for additional USB-UIRTs, which I probably should have to begin with!
