Hello everyone:
I am new to this forum and hope that Event Ghost can do what I need to do. It certainly appears as if it will. So here is what I want to do.
I have a telescope that is controlled by a Windows XP control computer that I connect to wirelessly. This part works well and prevents having wires across the floor to trip over in the night. I want to control the focuser for the telescope with a remote control. This focuser is under software control and works very well during photo sessions, but is inconvenient for visual use. If I had a remote, my thought was to use a PowerPoint Presentation Remote, and intercept the signals and pass them along to the focuser software, then I have what I need.
I did a search for Presentation Remotes that might work with EG but did not get a hit. Does anyone know of a Presentation Remote that works with EG, if not a suggestion for a remote that I could use. I really do not need a lot of buttons I believe I can do everything I need with 4 to 6 buttons.
