I more often than not work in the python script editor to create scripts and test big code F4 then F5, sometimes EG crashes out on me because i get some sort of coding error or something, and I lose my entire script , other than when I click across to EG's main window and press CTRL+S (to save the config tree) then click back to the script window.
A very useful feature would be to have a save (config tree) (CTRL+S) inside the python script editor.
I don't like the idea that much. But I might consider it. Possibly through a PythonScript that patches EG at runtime.
If you really do huge coding, I would suggest to use an external editor and execute an external script file through "execfile" inside a PythonScript action. You can then assign some event to it and use a tool chain like:
1. Save external file
2. execute EventGhost.exe (even if it already runs to bring it to front)
3. execute EventGhost.exe -e MyScriptEvent (to trigger your PythonScript, that executes your external script file through "execfile")
