Hi guys!!!
I have an HP IR Receiver. Everything works great with my MCE Remote, but when the TV shows a kinda bright screen, the IR Receiver flashes its red light like if its getting signal from something, when I go to Evenghost, I see thousands of lines been added of "Unknown" commands, but the minute the screen gets darker, that stops.....what can it be? I try covering the IR with my hand and it stops, but that also blocks the remote signal so thats not a solution.
Has anyone ever experienced anything like this?
Thanks !!!!!!!!

Your flat panel emits IR, more brightness more IR Noise. only real solution is to relocate the pickup to somewhere else..

Re: White screen causes IR Receiver to go crazy!!!
IR is just a color of red beyond the ability for humans to see. It is still light however, and obviously your tv is capable/is reproducing this Infra Red light when white (all colors at once) is displayed. Thus your IR receiver sees this IR and sends it through. The suggestion is to move the IR receiver away from the tv so it doesnt "see" it. For instance I put mine on the back of the TV pointed to the wall. It picks up the reflection of the remote just fine off of the wall and works without issue across the room.
