Need to restart USB-UIRT Plugin

Post by dlapenny »

I am running multiple HTPC's from 2 Windows 7 (32bit) PC's in another room. This serious reduces the noise and clutter in the family room and makes my wife very happy. Only need 1 USB cable and 2 HDMI cables.

My USB-UIRT is attached to a simple USB switch (ebay) and is switched between PC's using EG (hotkeys). EventGhost is v0.4.1.r1512.

The problem is that after USB has switched, any EG attempts to use the device gets "Device not ready!" If I manually Disable and Enable the USB-UIRT plugin using the toolbar (X) it works.

EG Action Disable/Enable Item does not seem to work with Plugins.
Waiting for things to settle down between actions does nothing.
Using the windows utility Devcon to disable/enable the device, does nothing.

I've attempted to make some code changes based on suggested in another post, however Python is not my first language and felt it best post the question before spending more time on it.
Any ideas? posting.php?mode=post&f=2#
