Hi,
I've bought a Fractal Design Shape HTPC Remote Control and i'm using it with my HTPC and it's working very well. I'm using a Harmony 1100 to control other devices at home such as my pioneer amplifier and my TV. Now the problem i'm having is when i press the volume up button on my Harmony remote to turn the volume of my amplifier up, the IR receiver of the Fractal Design Shape HTPC Remote Control registers it as a keypress and starts up the default internet browser on my HTPC (which is Google Chrome). Now i want to change this but i don't know if it is possible to change that.
Can EventGhost register which button is pressed when the IR receiver gets the command from my Harmony 1100?
Thx!

Re: Fractal Design Shape HTPC Remote Control problems
So essentially its sending the same IR code to the infrared reciever, so no there is no way to distinguish where its coming from. Have you thought of using EG to send IR to your devices via an IR sender? That way you could use one remote for all your devices. For now, I would have a button on the Fractal that turns of the macro thats in question (could use double or triple tap) and only turn it on when you need it. Just a thought.

I just found out that any button i press on the original remote of my amplifier is launching the default browser on my htpc. Also what is the macro for launching the default web browser?
Re: Fractal Design Shape HTPC Remote Control problems
So i was playing around with eventghost and this is what i found out. Whenever i press a button which is a button from my amplifier's remote this process happends in eventghost:
Task.Created.chrome
Task.NewWindow.chrome
Task.Deactivated.EventGhost
Task.Activated.chrome
Is there a way in eventghost or windows to suppress these tasks and just do nothing when these events happen?

Re: Fractal Design Shape HTPC Remote Control problems
This could be due to the event being triggered as an appkey event. Search for the APPKEY registry entry and save then remove any having to do with the browser. I bet this is the issue.
