Hello,
recently I've been trying to get my HAMA MCE remote control to work with EventGhost on Vista, but for some reason I can't get it right.
The problem is that EventGhost isn't registering any events of the remote, yet windows is following the commands (default?) of it. This also applies when EG isn't running at all and I checked for Windows Media Center services already. I don't know what's executing the commands...
For EG I installed the MCE Plugin for Vista/W7, as well as the service which seems to be necessary.
It's propably a known issue and fairly easy to solve but I couldn't find anything up until now. Help would be very much appreciated as I'm getting crazy right now.
EG Version: 0.4.1.r1540 and 0.4.1.r1544 (same issue)
on Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 x64

I would also think that many of the MediaPortal specific setup tasks would NOT be needed/wanted.
Just get remote seen/working with EG.
Might not even be needed.
Might be something even simpler if somebody else chimes in with info.
