I bought remote in ebay . Like Cyberlink, but with Sapphire label. Evenghost identified it as CyberlinkUniversalRemote.
After some time has stopped working autorepeat and sometimes did not work the DVDMenu button.
I rewrite plugin for CyberlinkUniversalRemote. Now everything is working properly.

Re: CyberlinkUniversalRemote
Hi,
I wanted to try your file __init__.py but I suppose some compilation is needed because the plugin is no more recognized when I replace the original file by yours ?
If you could briefly describe what I have to do to try your file ...
Thanks

Re: CyberlinkUniversalRemote
These issues have been bugging me forever. Thank you for fixing it.
There is no compiling necessary. All I did was replace the __init__.py file in the Program FilesEventGhost\plugins\CyberlinkUniversalRemote directory. I used the second file that was posted.MengWan wrote:Hi,

Re: CyberlinkUniversalRemote
Hi,
I have the 0.1.4.1.r1568 Eventghost, if I replace in EventGhost\plugins\CyberlinkUniversalRemote __init__.py by the new one, I get a message on the "log" (left pane in EG window) that tells me the plugin is not found !
I suppose this comes from my definite newbie status, that "py" files should get compiled in a "pyc" one, but the existing "pyc"'s time stamp does not change so there could be a problem with the whole thing ?
(I tried to remove the "pyc" file, and it gets reconstituted when the original "py" file is present)
Is there a way to have a more verbose mode to see what's happening ?
By the way, I too have problems with the "Power", "DVDMenu" buttons, it is unnerving and even impossible to caracterize (sequential effects occuring, the button stops producing an event, but is restored after other buttons are activated !)
Thanks
NB: I got into this because of XBMC, which I tend to be liking a lot !
OS=Win XP SP3 !

Re: CyberlinkUniversalRemote
It compiled automatically on my system. I don't know if it will work but I attached my .pyc file you can try. I am running Windows XP SP3 as well.

Hi,
Thanks for your help, but it does not change anything ...
I reaffected "Power" and "DVDMenu" to "Clear" and "Num0" and it works perfectly for the moment !
Maybe I will benefit from your change when it is incorporated in the download ...
Have a good Sunday
