Mapping D-pad through EventGhost

Post by doveman »

I've got most of the buttons on my Emprex MCE Remote nicely mapped in EG to control Mediaportal. I haven't bothered with the remaining ones (number pad and D-pad/OK) as they functioned fine in MP, but now I'd like to map the D-pad via EG.

Using the HID plugin, I've got three installed, each set to a different instance of "USB Multimedia Cordless Keyboard - BTC" and that all works fine. There's actually a fourth instance of this device which I haven't been using, so I tried adding that, but that hasn't got EG detecting the D-pad.

When I was originally setting it up, I found the device uses Page 65468, Usage 136 for a few keys and Page 12, Usage 1 for the rest and has Ven ID 1134, PID 21880, Version 96 (or in device manager VID_046E&PID_557) although the D-pad/OK doesn't appear to be on either of those Pages.

I've also disabled HID Service, disabled MCE Services and zeroed the RC6 (and Samsung and QuatroPulse MCE Remote) codes in registry.

Bump.

If I press the D-pad it shows Keyboard.Left, Keyboard.Right, Keyboard.Up and Keyboard.Down in EventGhost. There's also a Clear and Enter button which show as Keyboard.Escape and Keyboard.Return. I'd like to trap these last two so that either they don't send Esc and Return in Mediaportal or even better to map them to a function in Mediaportal's MessagePlugin.

Is it possible to trap/map these keys?
