monitoring remote directory changes

Post by btesoroni »

hello everyone,

From what can tell eventghost can only tell what is happening on a computer if done locally. I have another laptop that's running ubuntu and i would like eventghost to monitor a mapped directory and have it run an event macro when the remote system copies a file to a mapped directory the Windows machine could see. If I copy a dummy file to the directory locally everything works great but since ubuntu is copying the file eventghost isn't seeing the new changes.

Could anyone help me or give me an idea on her to activate the macro when a new file gets added?

thanks!

Brian
