Samsung TV Over LAN

Post by dredkin »

Hi all!
This is a simple plugin which lets you control your Samsung TV from PC over LAN interface. TV should be connected to your home network by ethernet or Wi-Fi. It should work with any recent Samsung network-capable TV. It is tested with C-series but should work with D-series also. E-series is not tested yet.
You should provide IP addres of TV and TV Model name in the format like "LE46C650".
This work is abased on python script samsungremote.py by Asif Iqbal and this Eventghost plugin by Lars-Peter Voss

Actually It's not the same, but very similar. I first made my plugin and only after that found that version. The only advantage of my plugin is if your computer has several network interfaces. That plugin may fail, my should not.

Nope, I could not manage to setup Wake-on-lan capability for my TV. When it's in standby, its network interface is completely down, and does not listen to network.
