Using EventGhost For My Logitech Z5500 Speakers

Hi there,
I am using a new generation PS3 BD Bluetooth Remote (CECH-ZRC1H) for my system. This remote has the ability to transmit both through Bluetooth and IR.
I would like to use this remote to substitute the IR remote for my Logitech Z5500 speakers. However, it doesn't appear that any of the IR codes in the remote's built in database matches my speaker's remote.

I am thinking up an idea of getting an IR transceiver that can receive my PS3 remote IR output and have EventGhost translate it to my speakers IR code and retransmit it out to my speakers.
Is this possible? Has anyone succeeded in doing somethinglike this before?

Since I'm not getting any replies here, guess I should simplify my query a little:
Is it possible for me to use an IR transceiver to receive the IR signal from my IR remote and retransmit out an IR signal that my speaker amp can understand and respond to?

Has anyone had any success doing something like this with the two IR trancievers suggested in the Documentation section:

Is there any tread here that teaches how I can program EventGhost to do something like this? I'm not sure what keywords to search for in the forum.

I'm pretty sure it should not be a problem with the USB-UIRT.

1) You create a macro that holds the actions for sending the necessary IR commands to your speaker amp (with the USB-UIRT you can learn the needed IR codes from you Logitech IR remote)

2) You press the desired button on your PS3 BD Bluetooth Remote that generates an event in EG, then you use this as the trigger for the macro.

As I see it, you could trigger the macro either via IR or Bluetooth. The only thing needed is that you get an event in EG.

I have the USB-UIRT and it works the way I described using IR only, no problems. For the Tira-2 I do not know if the same will work.

I was worried if the IR signal from my remote would conflict with the IR signal that the USB transmitter is retransmitting out to the speaker amplifier.
You don't find that there is any conflict between those two? Eg.: When holding down the volume up or down button, the device responds smoothly or does it notch up and down as EventGhost "translates" the IR signals in packets.

This is why I'm considering of getting the Tira-2 because of its ability to plug in a seperate IR transmitter and locate it away from the main receiver.

Another problem I have is that I can't seem to get in contact with the seller of the USB-UIRT device. I've sent an email last month and I've yet to hear from him/her. Is he/she still making & selling those transmitters?

I can't tell you how well it will work with your devices, I just checked that the macro could be triggered by an ir received and that it started sending after this. To be really sure to avoid conflicts you should use blue tooth to trigger since your new remote has this?

Also the usb-uirt has a connection possibility for an external ir transmitter

I do not know if the tira-2 can learn your ir codes but if so, it should be able to do the same
