I have an old MCE IR Receiver with the Microsoft branding on it. Its worked well for me over the years, but now I want to use an IR blaster and using it on widows 7 seems to be a little difficult. The MCE plugin windows 7 with alternate server doesn't seem to work for me for some reason.

Im wondering if the USB-UIRT has the same problems? I'm really thinking about replacing my current MCE receiver with that. Can anybody who owns a USB-URIT can tell me if it works on windows 7 without any hacks or work arounds. Or possibly another receiver that simply works with a simple plugin.

Both the MCE plugin, as well as the USB-UIRT-plugin work flawlessly in my Windows 7 system.

I use them a lot!
