Hi there!
Would it be possible to create a plugin to control a Panasonic TV?
The guys over at iRule came across this, so should be possible?

Thanks!

Did you find anything on this? I am looking to do the same thing.
I know most of the Panasonic TVs do not do WOL unless you are in the top two tiers. But I would like to power the TV off and get a TV status.

Im always looking, the most i can find are commands for BD/DVD players..
Don't know bout the ON/OFF part. But since the TV is capable of CEC, so it should be able to power-on automatically. So that is a probale solution to it.
I have a TX-P55ST50Y from last year, but it's a european model so im guessing that the ZT is it's "cousin"
There is a Viera app, so what's the problem with finding IP commands for it?
How does one extract or sniff them out? anybody that can point in the right direction?

I have the app, I just need some time to run shark on the Nexus 7 to look for the commands. However, I just got a Global Cache iTach over the weekend so the IP commands have moved to the back of list of on going programs.
I had CEC enable between my TV (s60) and my Onkyo but it was just not reliably 100% of the time.

I solved my problem, got myself a USB-UIRT instead. Works like a charm. Even got a IR->RF --- RF->IR extender so now im controlling the crap out of my bedroom equipment aswell
