i had used the xb 360 as a media center extender for about a day, and missed my remote. I do like the voice control of the xb though, so my topology has now changed. The WMC win 8.1 server is connected through the hdmi pass through connection. So far, a/v is working properly. I am able to watch movies, tv (using hdhomerun prime), and multiple applications without issue.

I use a rii flymouse remote with the IR portion of the remote passing through a usb-uirt device. The IR signal uses an extensive configuration within to control WMC, projector, wireless hdmi extender, nest, and a denon amp. I understand that the power cannot be controlled. However, i am unable to change channels with voice commands either. I had initially attempted to point the kinect at the usbuirt, but found a nonstop stream of IR data. Now, an ir receiver directly connected to the transmits to the the usb-uirt box to deliver its commands to EG. I issued the command ' watch starz (channel 419)' and found the following events in the log. Each time the ' watch startz' command had been issued, the event was different.

I would love to use EG as my ir receiver for the , but how can i interpret the above commands? i would have thought the data would correspond to a channel number, but i do not see a trend. Should i look to another solution outside of EG to interpret those IR signals?
