Gamepad button combination to execute close
I'm using XBMC with a Logitech F710 gamepad on my HTPC. Everything works flawlessly without a keyboard and mouse but when playing ROMs with an emulator, I still need keyboard to close out of the emulator. I done some research and came across event ghost as people were saying they used it to close the emulator with a gamepad. I've figured out how to close an emulator with a single button press. But I'm looking to use a combination of buttons "LB+RB+Select+Start". But eventghost doesn't seem to recognize button combinations in the log. Is there some way to do this?
Re: Gamepad button combination to execute close
I do not use a game pad but I believe you could have a series of macros do to what you would like without changing a plugin.
Just Change the Events in the setup in the picture to the events from your gamepad. In this setup the combo must happen within 3 seconds but you can play with the time.
Be sure to disable the "RB", "Select" and "Start" Macros (or execute the "Trigger event......" Macro) before you test for the first time. After you know it works change the "Show OSD: It Worked" to the action you want.
Note the OSD "IT Worked will appear in the top left corner of the screen if you do not change any settings. Also Remove "Trigger event......" action from the "RB" and "Select" macro as I set it up just to test and these are redundant.
I can think of a few other ways to do this, one which includes eg.global.variables but this seems very easy if it works for you
