What I want to do is to be able to use my Android smartphone to send messages to a PC (or another Android Smartphone).
The scenario:
AT karaoke events a singer needs to be able to tell the DJ what his/her next song will be.. this is usually done by writing on a sheet, or writing the song, artist etc on a slip and handing it to the DJ.
What I would like to happen: Any singer that has a smartphone (using my APP) can send their song request to the DJ's smartphone or to their computer, and then have them return an 'ok' to say that he has received it.
To take it a step further: I'd like my request to show on his screen AND also be appended to a list that is saved to his smartphone (or PC) so that later the list can be view as a text file.
I know that most of this would be done in Tasker and I'm happy to explore that once I know how to interact with EventGhost.
When you respond please make it a 'dummy's guide' because I am very new to this. I have seen references to 'payload' with Eventghost and it means nothing to me.
It would be nice to be able to give the other singers a simple app, rather than have them install a variety of Apps to do the job (if that's possible).
My current Android phone is a Samsung Note 2 (but I'd like my app to be reliable on all android smartphones).
Kind regards
Rodd
I have just installed EventGhost and the EventGhost PlugIn on my phone and EventGhost on my Windows 7 PC.
