Muting sound crashes EventGhost

Post by hoStage »

As title says.
Everything works fine, but when I try muting sound on my Windows 8.1 x64 with Realtek HD Audio, EventGhost crashes. I have lateset EventGhost 0.4.1.r1669 installed.
Unmuting and changing volume level works perfectly.

Any solution?

I've similar problem since 0.4.1.r1630 version on my Win7 64-bit. Changing system volume does not work anyway and muting crashes EventGhost, but changing media players volume (e. g. Winamp) works fine.

My solution at the moment is: using an older version:

I (maybe) found the cause.
Try to put the attached file __init__.py into the directory ...\EventGhost\plugins\System (instead of the original file).
Note:
It is intended for the version number r1669.

Unfortunately, changing system volume does not work with your plug-in. Muting does not work too, but pressing mute key does not cause, that Eventghost crashes.

I've forgotten to tell, that i use X10 remote control (Medion). Maybe it has some importance...
