Remote control smart tv Samsung with hdmi-cec

Post by mparadiso »

Hello,
I'm putting together an HTPC with XBMC to turn on my Samsung smart tv that has hdmi-cec resources.
I wonder if it is possible to send command of my own TV remote control or universal for Event Ghost FCA simple tasks such as select movies, music and etc.
I'm interested in customize some command to facilitate the use of XBMC.
Thanks.

I've been reading a little more on the subject and found that it is possible to make the communication between the TV and the EventGhost using Pulse-Eight, RCAware or Flirc.
Does anyone know let me know if they work well? It seems that the RCAware was discontinued. Quite liked the Pulse-Height but I'm a little afraid of him not suit me.
I live in Brazil and to buy something only matter and beyond take long would be boring if it did not work.
I would love to have the facility to use only one remote control TV to perform actions on the XBMC through EventGhost.
What you guys have used as interface for remote control? I would like to get an idea.

Hi,

I'm using the Pulse eight adapter together with a Samsung TV and an Pionerr AVR since a few weeks. It works perfectly together. The pulse eight device ist fully supported by Kodi. No additional things are needed.
