How do I activate Tasker Task via EventGhost?

Post by RIckyD3 »

Hey everyone, I'm new here. I am hoping someone can help me with what I am trying to accomplish.

I have created an alarm clock setup with Tasker and one of its plugins, AutoVoice. I want to be able to activate that task via EventGhost. Technically, I am aiming to activate it though VoxCommando. However I am pretty certain I already know how to accomplish that (just a simple action of saying something into VoxCommando and having that activate a specific macro in EventGhost, which activates my task in Tasker). I'll try to illustrate exactly what my goal is if this does not make sense already.

Let's begin with my voice command:
"Computer, set my alarm to 6:30 in the morning" --> VoxCommando processes command -> VoxCommando sends command to EventGhost -> EventGhost sends command to Tasker -> Tasker asks for confirmation on setting the alarm -> sends request to EventGhost -> EventGhost sends request to VoxCommando and verbal request "Confirm, set alarm to 6:30am?" is heard by me -> I give confirmation, "yes" -> confirmation is sent from VoxCommando to EventGhost -> confirmation is sent from EventGhost to Tasker -> Tasker receives confirmation "yes" and sets my alarm to 6:30am.

All I really need to know is how to configure EventGhost to Tasker communication (specifically on activating a task in Tasker via EventGhost).

Thanks!
