Open website if I receive a special text message on my phone

Hi all,

I'm kind of new to EventGhost in general. I have a problem and I think EventGhost is the tool most likely to be able to solve it. What I'm trying to do is fire an event on my Windows desktop based on a text message I may receive on my Android phone. If I get a text with the word "registration" in it, I'd like for my Windows desktop to open up a specific webpage URL. I've been playing around with things like Tasker, IFTTT, PushBullet, and now EventGhost to try and make this happen but I've hit a brick wall.

Is this possible with EventGhost?

I'm a newbie to EG, but part of the issue will be just getting the text message to your PC. For this, I've used an app called MySMS which allows me to access my texts on the PC. Unfortunately this is only for Android and not iPhones, though. Tricky part would then be getting EG to interface with it.

Yeah this should be possible, not sure what to do with the text tho - maybe tasker should work there, but to visit a page is easy to do with python.

Does the website change? Are you looking to react to what's inside the communication? Should it be irrespective of form (coming from Text? Push? AutoRemote message (Tasker)?). If you're more specific, I can help you.
