Middle click -or- wheel click

Post by asdf »

Great project! really helpful.

I'm using a Gyration Media Center Remote (which works great!) to control my HTPC. It's a remote and a mouse at the same time.

When using firefox, it's nice to be able to middle click (or wheel click) a link to have it open in a new tab. Currently, I don't see that EventGhost has the ability to emulate a middle-click.

Any chance of adding this functionality to EventGhost?

Thanks again for a great tool.

p.s. if anyone else is looking for a temporary work-around, you can use Mouse Emulator from RH Designs http://www.geocities.com/matroxfiles/. It maps middle-click to NumLock3.

Of course, it would be cleaner to have this included in EventGhost!

My fault. I had searched for "middle click" and "wheel click" on this forum. Having not found any results, I posted here. It turns out a search for "middle mouse button" leads me to this thread http://www.eventghost.org/forum/viewtop ... use+button

Through that thread, I found the Beta releases thread http://www.eventghost.org/forum/viewtop ... Fdownloads

I'm trying out 0.3.6.1141 now. Feeling optimistic.

Thanks for the response. Led me in the right direction...
