When I install EG on my son's MCE2005 PC, it appears to install ok, but then at the very end when I get the dialog with the checkbox asking if I want to run EG after you click finish, I get a Windows "bong" sound and I get the same sound if I try to launch it. It never creates the start menu group, either. I am logged on as an admin user, too. The Windows install is fairly clean and updated. There's a couple games on it, but other than that he takes care of his machine and doesn't junk it up.
Suggestions? BTW, build 1262.

Might check your anti-virus and anti-spyware applications installed, EG has been false positive before. Basically since EG can pull events from keystrokes many softwares assume it is a keylogger.

Stripped all that, but thanks for the suggestion. Uninstalled, reinstalled, made sure registry entries were gone, etc. Just doesn't make sense.
