how to pause what ever is playing when an autoremote message
how to pause whatever is playing if an autoremote message is received and about to read. I need help with this if I'm at work and listening to tunein radio, pandora or whatever AND I get an autoremote message that is going to read through speech, how do I get eventghost to automatically pause tunein radio
Re: how to pause what ever is playing when an autoremote mes
That's pretty hard to do. I have only managed to partially solve the problem in my setup.
Instead of pausing the music it's probably a better idea to just lower the volume while reading the message. That way you don't have to check what is playing, if anything.
If you have plugins for every player there are probably information commands you can use to figure out if anything is playing there and use that to pause music when needed. For example I use MediaMonkey and if I'm listing to a podcast I prefer to pause rather that lowering the volume while reading messages, to do that I have to save the state until after the message so I know if I should resume playback or not.
