Hi all!
I've been setting up my remote to control my whole PC, and I've come to small problem: how can I make menu that I would call by remote keypress, and in that menu would be only shortcuts for misc applications (so that I dont need to map single application on a single remote keystroke)
Also, how would you solve those problems:
- how to set up that after selecting desired applications from that menu, menu would close by itself
- in I have few open applications that use same keystroke, how can I islolate that only one on top uses that keystroke, and others do not response to it?
- after mapping Alt+Tab with keypress, result is that active windows only change between window I'm currently watching and next one in line and then back to first I was watching and back to next and so on in circle... it doesn't continue to third, fourth, fifth window, it only changes betweet first two in circles. Is it a EG problem or did I do something wrong?
Thanks in advance!

Not sure I'm understanding this correctly but you might try the "Desktop Remote" plugin. You could have as many buttons on your desktop remote as apps you want to launch but you would still need to be able to activate those buttons, for instance map one hand held remote button to one desktop remote button.gesaugen wrote:how can I make menu that I would call by remote keypress, and in that menu would be only shortcuts for misc applications
I do this with a Gyration remote, one button on the Gyration remote opens the desktop remote, then since the Gyration remote acts as a mouse I use it to press buttons on the desktop remote.
Set up a "Close Desktop Remote" macro. At the end of every keypress macro on the desktop remote jump to the Close Desktop Remote macro. ie button one on the desktop remote may; Open Notepad, Wait Some Time .5 sec, jump to Close Desktop Remote. Be sure to add the Wait Some Time action, a remote that immediately closes itself will crash EG.gesaugen wrote:- how to set up that after selecting desired applications from that menu, menu would close by itself
In most cases, not all, only the active app will respond to hot keys. Start your "Emulate Keystrokes" macro with the actions "Find a Window" and "Bring to front".gesaugen wrote: I have few open applications that use same keystroke, how can I islolate that only one on top uses that keystroke, and others do not response to it?
I don't know about the Alt+Tab thing maybe some else here does.

Try my scripts "Push and hold ALT, send TAB" and "Release ALT" here.
