General question regarding EventGhost

Post by BusinessDev »

Hello Ghosts,
I am completely new in this application and have some basic questions - hopefully someone will help me.

First, let me explain my situation:

I've just created AI (Artificial Intelligence) on JS for controlling the mouse on Windows.
Now I want to send these commands to another computer through its bluetooth usb- i.e. I want to emulate the other computer's mouse.

Can you tell me which feature of EventGhost could help me for this?
I will be really thankful for every little guidance!

Regards!

Why not use the network. If the other computer has EG on it to the WebSever plugin has an action to Send Event to another webserver.

Why a mouse versus keyboard commands? What are your using for your AI, a distance model or something like Wit.AI?

I would for sure use MQTT (with a message broker) all day long. I assume, since you work with javascript, you could add code to publish events to the broker? In EG, you can then use the MQTT Client plugin to capture the events and use them to control the mouse (and others) via macros. MQTT is a light weight protocol used in IoT (Internet of Things). The HTTP will also work but is maybe not the best choice for this, it has unnecessary overhead. When you control the mouse I guess you are looking for the fastest possible response.

There are also support in EG for some Bluetooth dongles (plugins can be found on the forum) but I have no experience in using such. The only recent experiments I have done is with BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) using a Raspberry Pi running Jessie and Node-RED. Bluetooth events could easily be published to a MQTT broker. The MQTT Client in EG could subscribe to those and drive the mouse via macros.
