Send IR blast to TV & Stereo when PC wakes up

I would like to be able to turn on my tv and stereo in the living room when my PC wakes from sleep. I understand there are MCE plugins available with EG but I am not sure that those plugins would not interfere with another program I have reading MCE remote presses. How can I power on my tv and stereo via IR when my PC wakes?

hmmm.... that is a good question, i don't think you can have 2 programs try and control the same IR Receiver. only way to know is to try.

and what is the other program that is reading the IR and for what use????

and does your AVR or the TV have serial ports or network connections, because there are other means of controlling things other than just the remote

so if ya want to get the make and model #'s of the TV and AVR we can see if they have an alternate means of control. and if they do then turning them on without interferring with the IR remote is not a problem

I am using Jriver media center, and I use the machine as a HTPC. I control the TV, and Stereo through a Microsoft IR transiever with two IR outputs wired directly into the TV, and Stereo. The TV is a Mitsubishi wd92840, and the stereo is a Yamaha rxv 675. I have an MCE IR keyboard, and an MCE RF gyration remote. When I press the power button on the gyration remote, it wakes the PC, and It can put the PC to sleep. I want to wake the PC with this power button, then have eventghost see the PC is waking, and send a power on IR blast through the Microsoft IR transiever to the stereo, and TV.
