How can you automatically press a 'button' on a webpage?

Hello!

New to EventGhost, I use it for handling info going from my Android phone to the PC and vice versa. So this is going to be my new thing learned for today! =)

I have a URL open and I wish to have EG click on a button. Primarily I want EG to handle the downloading of my Android phone backup through the URL given. There's a couple of button that have to be pressed. Just not to sure on what plugin I need (if any) and how to do it! =\ Like I said .. learning .. really really green at this!

you can use the mouse movement thing (kind of a pain tho)

or you can use the windows finder not sure if you can pick out specific buttons on a webpage with it tho, i know you can with a program

but that being said you can still use the window finder to get the browser and page and then use the keyboard emulation to tab through the fields to the buttons that have to be pressed and use the keyboard emulation to either enter the information or to press the enter key to click on a button

Isn't it possible to send an event directly to the webserver (http post)?

yeah you could do that also. but it's more complex then the above mentioned you have to know what to send over

and if there is script running that produces other complications.
