Thanks for the replies. Have you used the MCE plugin in the plugin forum? It seems people were having problems using that. It never left beta as near as I can see.

Also, I see there are two threads. One has the MCE.zip in the plug in beta forum and the other is MCERemoteVista20090907 file in the general forum. Sounds like the Vista one is pretty old. I assume the MCE beta MCE.zip is for Windows 7? I thought MCE stands for Media Center Edition for XP?

I am using EG 0.3.7.r1462 and the MC IR transceiver that came with my Hauppauge 1800. I have not installed any Hauppauge software. I can control MC fine with my URC MX-850 universal remote.
