XBMC Enable XBMC plugin of EG

Post by predatorftp »

Hi,

How do i enable the XBMC commands (in XBMC) in order for the XBMC plugin in EG commands to work in XBMC ?

i enabled the event server in the network settings tab, but it doesn't work ?

did something change ?

All you should need is event server enabled and a XBMC plugin (XBMC or XBMCRepeat) activated in EventGhost, and it should work.

I just tried the latest EventGhost and XBMC with both XBMC plugins and they work fine, maybe you have a firewall or something that's blocking the communication between XBMC and EventGhost.

I tested on Windows XP sp2, so if you're using something else it could be something else. :P

It might be, as the XBMC plugin communicates with XBMC via the network, try to disable the firewall and see if it works, if it works when the firewall is disabled, then you need to configure the firewall to allow network traffic from/to EventGhost/XBMC.

Great that it works :D , have you checked out my XBMCRepeat plugin? I think it's better then the default if you're using a remote or gamepad to control XBMC.
