There is a action Jump if long press that should work if the plugin you use for your remote supports it.

How did you try? The XBMC plugin should work fine with it.
What plugin do you use for your remote? The Hauppauge IR plugin I use has a problem to properly detect when a button is held down, so I can't use the Jump if long press action.

If your remote supports programming you could make it send a different keycode when a button is held down.

I don't know, I think there is a simple test to see if the remote plugin supports holding a button.
If you press a button on the remote you will see it in EventGhost's log window, now if you hold a button do you see it repeating or only once?
If you only see it once while holding a button I'm guessing it should work with the Jump if long press action.

I assume this is the right way to use the Jump if long press action, HauppaugeIR.35 is the button I tested, it didn't work for me as the button just repeats.

I think the easiest action to test with is the "Start mouse movement in direction" action. It should move the mouse cursor while you press and hold the button you assign to it.

Anyway, it sounds like you might be having a problem with the remote plugin. Are you using an original xbox remote? (not third party). Do you sometimes get in your log "Unknown code received:" messages from the plugin?

That's good, that should mean your remote plugin supports holding a button.
still cant make it work.
Like I asked before how did you try? attach your EventGhost config that didn't work.
